Common Bike Averages

A well-maintained 70cc bike can give strong fuel economy, while 100cc, 125cc, and 150cc+ bikes usually trade some mileage for more power.

SafarCost uses practical category defaults for 70cc, 100cc, 125cc, and 150cc+ petrol bikes, but the custom average field is best if you know your exact bike performance.

Why Mileage Changes

Bike mileage changes with tyre pressure, chain condition, tuning, traffic, rider weight, road slope, and speed. City mileage and highway mileage are often different.

For hilly travel or northern routes, keep extra budget because a bike may use more fuel during climbs than it does on normal city roads.

Budget Tip

Before a long trip, note how many kilometres you travel after filling a fixed amount of petrol. That real number will make your SafarCost custom average much more accurate.
